RPT: Sunday, October 19 - Concluded
By the time you're let back into game, I'll have the information up on the boards for this RPT. I have to admit, I'm not a combatant person, but I promise to try to make it as fun as possible despite that! This should be fun for everyone.
(Woo!)
EDIT: I think, with what I want to do, it'll have to spread over three nights. I'll put up the board post here once I have it written, so you guys can know everything going on. If you want to help, let me know! I'd love the help, and with my internet connection acting as it is lately, it might be good to have a backup. >.<

Oh yeah! Tell me about what time would be good to start the main games. I can (theoretically, if my internet is working) get online about this time on Thursday and Friday:
4 to 4:30 pm pacific
6 to 6:30 pm central
7 to 7:30 pm eastern
12 to 12:30 am England
9 to 9:30 am Australian eastern
Saturday is much more open/free.

Re: RPT: Sunday, October 19 - Concluded
Spring Celebration wrote:At one of the tables, the gossipers lift their voices above the usual voices of the crowd, "...Spring Celebration?" you overhear from one of the patrons there.
"Yes!" states another, "I hear there's going to be a riddle competition, storytelling competition, games, throwing competition, and even a dance! I heard the prizes are going to be really awesome, too."
"But... why?" the first pipes up again, in confusion.
"Because... we can! We're still alive, we survived. What better reason does there need to be to celebrate?" answers the other, literally bouncing in their chair in excitement.
OOC:
Thursday - Opening Games and Riddle Competition
Friday - Storytelling Competition
Saturday - Throwing Competition and Dance

Re: RPT: Sunday, October 19 - Concluded
Actually I might be able to make it... Mixed october's 9th with 2nd...
Re: RPT: Sunday, October 19 - Concluded
I'm going to bump this for two reasons.
1. It's getting closer.
2. My times on Thursday and Friday will have to be moved back a bit. I'll be getting home later on those days than usual. I don't think it'll be overly late, but definitely later than I'd originally planned, as I'll be going to training an hour and a half away. Let me think on it a bit, and I'll see what time I'll have to bump it to.
Other than that, be preparing your stories for the story competition and the riddles for the riddle competition! You'll want to get those worked out ahead of time, to save time during the actual RPT.

I'm going to aim for 8:00 pm Central time - use the conversions above to convert to your own time using the same time differences. There are several things that will determine whether this will actually happen.
1. My internet connection needs to remain steady. Those of you who have seen me in the guest lounge... know how unreliable it's been.
2. I actually have to get home by this time. I think I can - I'm going to training an hour and a half away, so I'll see.

Meh... That will start after midnight for me. And it's not 100% if it will happen... So I probably wont risk waiting.
Re: RPT: Sunday, October 19 - Concluded
I'm home! This should be happening.
EDIT: Okay, nevermind. People are scattered, and it looks as if there's no interest. I'll try again tomorrow with the story competition.
Same bat time. Same bat channel. 8:00 pm Central U.S. time.

I would LOVE to be a part of this, but there is a good chance I will not be able to. But I may submit a written story for someone to read on my behalf! I love stuff like this.

Thursday, Friday, and Saturday!
You all better come up with awesome stories tomorrow, or you can't come to my birthday party.

I've done this too many times lately, completely flaking on times I'm supposed to be someplace.
I'll have to set an alarm tomorrow or something.

Woo!
Thank you for setting this up Dreamer, and thanks to everyone who went out there and told a story! You really help bring this world to life.. more depth than the simple day-to-day.

Re: RPT: Sunday, October 19 - Concluded
Thank you so much to all of those who showed up to the storytelling competition! While you guys didn't really want to compete, man were there some good tales spun. Good job, and I do really hope you enjoyed yourself.
Something we might consider next time - writing up some of the words ahead of time - at least the story part (I don't like to pre-write the roleplay), and that way we can post it and get through it a bit faster and we don't have only three people sharing in two hours. What I love about our Beta, though, is that we can live and learn from one another, and keep improving.
Anyway, Saturday's RPT will be as follows:
2 pm pacific US
3 pm mountain US
4 pm central US
5 pm eastern US
10 am England
7 am Australian eastern

That target is evil.
--- ATTENTION ---
Something in the last command you entered, 'aim target', has crashed the
MUD. Although it may have been due to a random memory corruption, please try
to use this command as sparingly as possible after the recovery, just in case.
A core dump has been generated to assist debugging, and a coder will look into
this issue as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.

... haha, what a mess. I'll research a bit tonight, get with Kith and see if we can fix some things, and then we'll try again tomorrow - say... same time?
